General:

Does it cost anything to book / schedule an appointment?
a) Yes, Tech Express requires a registration deposit which covers our 2.0hr min service call fee which can be paid by credit card at the time of appointment scheduling.

What is Tech-Express's coverage / service area?
a) Tech-Express services the San Francisco Bay Area. Click here for map.

What credit cards do you take?
a) We take the following cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discovery

Do you take checks?
a) We can take personal checks but require a 48 payment/hold before the appointment.

How do I cancel an appointment?
a) To cancel an appointment please contact our call center via phone or go to Appointment Scheduler and enter your Tech-Express Appointment Confirmation email message user name and password.

What's the minimum charge for a on-site service?
a) Let us save you $100's on labor charges, towing charges, replacement parts and piece of mind. Our competitive rates are only $97.50 per hour with a (2) hour minimum service call fee for a totally mobile unit to come wherever your vehicle is - rain or shine.


Autos

How long does a vehicle inspection take & how much?
a) Most Vehicle Inspections and service calls can be completed within the 2.0 hour minimum. If more time is needed or have to return for additional repairs, we prorate the cost to include the 2.0 minimum to save you even more money. We also save you time by picking up the parts, and money by passing on a 10% discount on all parts.

b) Pre-purchase inspection vary in price. Tech Express™ offers three levels of pre-purchase inspections, 1, 2 and 3. Please read the pre-purchase inspection report descriptions for diagnostic reporting depth. (PDF Doc).

Do you guarantee your work?
a) Tech Express guarantees all labor for 6 months, and provides manufacturer's warranties on all parts.

Trucks

Do you service large trucks (dual axel)?
a) Yes – Buckets & Dually’s - Tech Express services gasoline powered (none diesel) large trucks and dully trucks. With these vehicle because of size and scope of repairs have different labor rate fees.

Do you have specials for group services?
a) Yes – GET 20% off your parts: If you are a members of AAA, CTE, California Teachers Union or Student with valid ID at time of services.

Do you service the new Hybrid cars?
a) Yes! Toyota, Honda, and more.

Motorcycles

Do you service both street and dirt bikes?
a) Yes – In fact most of our team ride actively both street & dirt.

What if I need a new part, how does that work?
a) We can handle most cases on the spot (basic tuning, brake installations/repair, etc..) but in some cases a repair may not be possible due to a specialty part. Our staff can assist in your part order and reschedule.

How long does basic servicing a bike take?
a) Most motorcycles (or scooters) take about 2 - 3 hours.

Do you work on 3 or 4 wheel off road vehicles (ATC)?
a) Yes - (2 strokes & 4 strokes)

Boats & Watercrafts

What type of boats do you service (Water ski boat or a commercial fishing boat)?
a) All gas powered watercraft not excluding diesels.

What if I need a new part, how does that work?
a) We can handle most cases on the spot (basic tuning, brake installations/repair, etc..) but in some cases a repair may not be possible due to a specialty part. Our staff can assist in your part order and reschedule.

How long does basic servicing a boat/watercraft take?
a) About 3 hours

Do you work on sailboats?
a) Yes - Only if it is gasoline powered. (Small motors or onboard motors).

Do you provide cosmetic repairs or any type of fiberglass type work?
a) No.

Can you work on a boat that is in a slip/harbor or does it need to be out of the water?
a) Both In water and Out of Water.
